Boys & Girls Clubs of Tampa Bay

Thank you for considering volunteering with the Boys & Girls Club! Volunteers are a vital part of our team and can bring a positive experience to many our youth. There are many ways you can donate your time and make a difference!

Orientation:

Background check, volunteer orientation, and training are mandatory. Orientation is held at the Metro Service Center on the first Tuesday of each month from 3 - 5 pm and the third Thursday of each month from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm. You can schedule to attend by calling 813-875-5771.

1st Step – contact Michelle Benjamin at mbenjamin@bgctampa.org to sign up for an orientation

2nd Step – Please fill out the volunteer application completely and bring it with you to the orientation.

3rd Step – a background check will be done and we will take your picture for your badge. Once you are cleared to volunteer you will get an email with the director’s name and number so you can schedule when you can start. Your director will have you badge.

Adult Volunteer (Ages 18+)

Club Volunteers enjoy the hands-on experience that Boys & Girls Clubs of Tampa Bay offers. They have valuable knowledge and provide additional insight to enhance programs and activities in our Clubs. They also serve as an additional positive adult role model to Club Members. Club Volunteers work with the Director and Program Director at a designated Club on field trips, mentoring, programs, and other services involving our youth.

Corporate Group Volunteering

Corporate Group Volunteering is ideal for companies, organizations and schools that would like to participate in one or more special activities at our Clubs. This is an excellent way to incorporate team building and boost moral while providing an immediate benefit to the youth served by Boys & Girls Clubs of Tampa Bay. We can help you design and execute a customized project that aligns your company’s interests and values while fulfilling a need at a Club. Examples include Scrub-A-Club, where a group performs small renovation projects such as painting and building furniture; and Adopt-A-Club, where a company can sponsor a holiday party or back-to-school drive.

If your company would like to schedule a large group project, please contact Ricky Gallon at rgallon@bgctampa.org. Please allow at least four weeks of notice between contacting us and the scheduled date of your project so that we can find the best Club match for you.
