Glenn Permuy’s Boys & Girls Club story began more than 70 years ago, when he first walked into the West Tampa Boys Club as a first grader. His father worked part-time at the Club, his older brother was already a member, and that first visit sparked what would become a lifelong calling to serve young people.

 

From Club kid to staff member to President of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Tampa Bay, Glenn led with vision and heart, growing the organization from three to sixteen sites and ensuring thousands of children had a safe place to learn and belong. His impact reached even further during his time as Senior Vice President with Boys & Girls Clubs of America, where he helped open new Clubs across the country and abroad, while mentoring leaders and shaping programs that still serve youth today.

 

The Permuy family’s commitment to the Clubs spans generations, and Glenn continues to honor that legacy today as President of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Tampa Bay Foundation. His legacy is measured not only in the buildings and programs he helped create, but in the generations of young people and families whose lives have been changed by his belief that every child deserves the opportunity to succeed.
