Since 1926, Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Tampa Bay have nurtured kids and helped them thrive. Much of that was done on the playing field in the past. Recently, sports activities waned at the Clubs, especially through the pandemic. However, today, we are fully committed to building back our sports programs to not only build healthy bodies and minds, but also character and emotional well-being of our Club kids.

WHY SPORTS MATTER?
Sports aren’t just good for your body, they’re good for your mind, too! Studies have shown that sports have psychological benefits for children and adolescents and teaches them important life skills.
Organized sports have may psychological and social benefits for kids – even more than the physical activity during play. Researchers think this is because children benefit from the social side of being in a team, and from the involvement of other children and adults.
